Teacher Gift Tag

School is just about out for the holidays, so we gave my son's teacher a Christmas present today. We wanted to have a cute little tag to go along with it, and it just seemed fitting that it should be a chalkboard tag, since it was meant for a teacher and all!

This year we got his teacher a copy of one of my son's favorite books for her classroom, as well as a couple movie tickets for her to use to take her husband on a date! It was more than we normally plan on spending probably, but we thought that teachers needed a little extra love this year, after the tragedy at Sandy Hook last week.

If you would like to download a copy of the tag printable you can find it here.

Merry Christmas Gift Tags

Yesterday, as we were getting ready to take some treats to our neighbors, we decided that we wanted to make some simple but cute gift tags to go with them. And if we already have them made, why not share them with you?

You can download the gift tags here.

We thought we would create a couple printable versions of our "Christ in Christmas" board for anyone that didn't want to tackle a painting project during the busy Christmas season. We hope you guys enjoy!

The printables are in a 16x20 format.
You can find the gray version here.

Our Christmas Activity Advent Ideas

Last year, when I was trying to put together a Christmas activity advent for my family, I searched all over the internet for activity ideas to add to the traditions our family already does every year. I ended up with 46 different activities for us to choose from. Now I know that there are not 46 days in December, but I figured the more activity options the better! Every year is different, and some days or weeks have more time available than others, so I wanted the activities to be simple enough that they would be pretty easy to fit into even the busiest schedule.

Maybe you already have all of your Christmas activities figured out, but I thought I would share a printable of our activity advent slips, with a few empty slips for adding any traditions that are unique to your family, just in case!

You can download your activity advent slips here.

The "Magic of Christmas" Printable

Yesterday we shared our "Magic of Christmas" glass block, and while we love it, we know not everyone has easy access to a vinyl cutter of some sort. Or maybe you just aren't loving the glass block idea but love the quote. We figured we would cover our bases and offer a printable for anyone who would prefer it!

We've seen this quote around a lot on vinyl websites, we just felt like we wanted to change the fonts up a bit and also offer it in a printable form. It's such a great quote, and such an important reminder of the real reason that we celebrate Christmas!

We created this printable in an 8x10 format, and you can download it here.

{Quotes We Love} Sincerely Giving Thanks

We have a new Thanksgiving printable for you! We love this quote from Thomas S. Monson. It is such an important reminder, that is not only perfect for the Thanksgiving season, but could really be displayed in our homes all year round.

This printable is formatted as an 8x10, and you can download your copy here.

Caramel Dip Fall Labels

Last month we shared a simple canned caramel recipe with you guys, along with some printable labels. Since the last set of labels were a little more Halloween in design, we wanted to share a new set of labels with more of a general fall theme.

You can find your fall labels here.
You can still check out our Halloween labels and get the recipe card in our blog post here.

{Quotes We Love} Gratitude

Now that we are past Halloween and past the election, I'm realizing that Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away! With such a short time left before that important holiday, I think it's definitely time for our printables to start reflecting this season of thanks and gratitude.

I love this quote from Melody Beatti, I think it's such a simple but important truth. Gratitude makes everything in life better. When we are grateful, we spend less time wishing about what could be, and more time appreciating what is.

I had such a hard time deciding which way I wanted to go with this printable that I decided to give you two options and let you pick! Both options are available in 8x10 and 16x20.

The cream 8x10 can be downloaded here, and the cream 16x20 here.
The chalkboard 8x10 can be downloaded here, and the chalkboard 16x20 here.

{Forever Young} Alphabet Sound Flash Cards T-Z

As we mentioned before, in addition to being a busy mom, Kim spends her days as a preschool teacher. There are a lot of really great worksheets and curriculum ideas online these days, but a lot of times you just need to create your own worksheets to really make them work for your classroom. We decided that, over time, we will share a portion of the worksheets, flash cards and activities that Kim has created or modified for her classroom. We hope you guys find them useful!

Phonograms are such a great way to help kids feel more comfortable sounding out words during their road to reading. We have already shared some flash cards with the phonograms sounds for the letters A-F, G-L and M-S. This week we are adding the final cards for the rest of the alphabet.

You can download your T-Z flash cards here.
You can still download A-F flash cards hereyour G-L flash cards here, and your M-S flash cards here.

{Quotes We Love} Reaction to Adversity

Yesterday we shared the book Heaven is Here by Stephanie Nielson. So many times, as I was reading her story, I was amazed at Stephanie's ability to rise above the adversity she was facing. It seemed only fitting then that we share one of our many favorite quotes from Dieter F. Uchtdorf. Feel free to grab a copy of the printable if you would like!

Halloween "So Sorry" Printables

My kids are little, so I like to go trick-or-treating with them. Not just for safety reasons, but because I just don't want to miss out on any part of the Halloweens that they actually want to spend with me! I know those years go by way too fast and all to soon they will want to do all their trick-or-treating with their friends. My husband feels the same way, so a lot of times our house is empty when trick or treaters stop by. Obviously we feel bad about that since we are out collecting candy from everyone else, so we put together a little "So sorry we've missed you" printable to hang on the door while we are out. We leave a bowl of candy outside our door and hope for the best! There may be some kids that take more than they should, but for the most part I think kids respect the fun of Halloween and limit themselves to a couple treats.

We have had the occasional year where we ended up with some leftover candy, but most years we run out while there are a few trick-or-treaters still haunting the streets. We feel bad just leaving the front door unanswered, so we put together another printable to let people know that we are out of treats for the night so we don't feel like we have to hide when trick-or-treaters come by. No matter the age of your kids, this printable is a handy one!

The printables are 8x10, feel free to grab one, or both, for yourselves!

You can find "Sorry We Missed U" here.
You can find "Eek...Out Of Candy" here.

{Quotes We Love} Edwin H. Land
